About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Leading and managing 3 to 6 distribution yards across North America.
  • Responsible for inventory management and developing specific strategies for each site.
  • Work directly with Sales to align company goals and expectations.
  • Travel regularly to each of the locations they oversee, with approximately 18 to 36 visits per year.
  • Ensure all employees are properly trained and have the resources needed to successfully complete their jobs.
  • Develop a travel schedule and manage time while traveling and maximize activities.
  • Maintain detailed reports of site visits, ensuring accurate documentation of activities.
  • Enforce regular inventory counts and validate counts when onsite.
  • Prepare, manage and maintain reports related to safety and equipment maintenance.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school Diploma or Equivalent; and five to seven years related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, clients, customers, and the public.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software; spreadsheet software; internet software; database software and contract management systems.
