About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for leading and managing 3 to 6 distribution yards across North America.
  • Responsible for inventory management and developing strategies for market penetration.
  • Work with Sales to align company goals and create appealing destinations for customers.
  • Travel regularly to each of the locations overseen (approx. 18 to 36 visits per year).
  • Ensure employees are properly trained and manage time off requests and schedules.
  • Develop a travel schedule and prepare detailed reports of site visits.
  • Ensure inventory is accurate, properly packaged, and enforce regular inventory counts.
  • Maintain high levels of cleanliness in yards and warehouses.
  • Fulfill customer orders and validate loading accuracy.
  • Receive invoices, order supplies, and approve purchase requisitions.
  • Ensure a safe work environment and maintain equipment.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school Diploma or Equivalent; and five to seven years related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Knowledge of word processing software; spreadsheet software; internet software; database software and contract management systems.
