About the role
- Select, copyedit, and prepare articles and commercial content for publication on the web.
- Work directly with contributors to help improve their articles from a writing and topical perspective.
- Support research for commercial content and assist in execution of top-level strategies.
- Research trends in the SDLC and stay up to date with the latest innovations to provide thought-leading advice.
- Review research findings/analyses for contextual coverage via a strategic research lens to ensure actionable software industry insights.
- Monitor support and editors inboxes, answer inquiries, delete spam, and escalate issues to appropriate departments.
- Work with stakeholders to suggest articles and commercial or community content to be featured in newsletters.
- Update site pages daily with fresh content and build relationships with contributors.
- Recommend contributors for community programs and premium product authorship.
- Assist with other team projects and initiatives as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, or Publishing; degree or experience in Software Engineering/Development is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years in technical editing for web content or publishing, ideally within the technology sector.
- Basic knowledge of HTML is preferred.
- Passion for producing high-quality, actionable content with strong copyediting and proofreading skills.
- Deep understanding of American English spelling and grammar, with the ability to clearly express complex technical concepts.
- Strong interpersonal skills and confidence to collaborate with experienced software professionals.
- Excellent research and problem-solving abilities with a strong desire to learn and adapt quickly.
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Exceptional time management and clear, consistent communication on project progress.
- Proven ability to work independently while thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Must have a working laptop/pc and internet and back-up connection.
- Agile professional who excels in a fast-paced environment and thrives on continuously pivoting strategies to drive business needs forward.
- Ability to work specified hours: 9pm to 6am PHT (APR-OCT) or 10pm to 7am PHT (NOV-MAR).
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the Philippines at hire and must maintain authorization throughout employment; employer will not sponsor visas.
