About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Install, test, and repair new and reworked TechnipFMC products, including equipment and tools
- Handle customer comments, requests, and complaints
- Provide sales support and ensure customers are informed about all aspects of the job
- Complete Field Service Orders (FSO), Field Spare Parts Tickets (FSPT), and other revenue-generating documentation on time
- Communicate quality issues and equipment or procedural defects to Service Management
- Complete field documentation after each service job
- Provide project support and handle project issues to eliminate downtime
- Prepare and complete safety-related documentation
- Pursue safe work practices
- Mentor or instruct less experienced team members and customers in and out of the field
- Travel frequently to customer locations across West Texas, including overnight stays as operationally required
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent technical diploma
- Minimum 3 years of experience in field service technician role
- Advanced knowledge of one or more of: electrical; surface equipment; hydraulics equipment; mechanical equipment and tools; structural steel
- Ability to read and understand drawings
- Able to perform moderate complex calculations
- Ability to use and understand technical tools and instruments and perform basic troubleshooting
- Knowledge of applicable theories, practices, and accepted internal business processes and procedures
- Experience working in oil and gas completion operations and customer locations
- Knowledge of pressure control equipment, frac operations, and wellsite safety practices
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems
- Understanding of maintenance management systems and equipment documentation requirements
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and digital reporting systems
- Experience with service quality, continuous improvement, and root cause analysis processes
- Previous experience training, mentoring, or leading less experienced technicians
- Knowledge of company HSE standards, customer requirements, and industry regulations
