About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of hydraulic systems and launch equipment onboard
- Lead and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities on hydraulic, mechanical, and associated launch-system equipment
- Troubleshoot hydraulic system failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate and support inspections, repairs, upgrades, and modifications of hydraulic circuits, valves, pumps, actuators, accumulators, and related components
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend continuous-improvement initiatives
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to Launch System Technicians and Tower Technical Operators
- Collaborate with PLC Engineers and multidisciplinary teams to diagnose equipment issues and implement technical solutions
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with company procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor spare parts, consumables, and critical hydraulic-component inventory
- Maintain maintenance records, technical documentation, and equipment history in the Maintenance Management System
Requirements
What you’ll need- Technical Degree in Electrical, Electrotechnical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, or Electromechanical disciplines
- Active CFT registration
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience preferred
- Intermediate English proficiency
- Experience with electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic maintenance systems
- Experience leading technical teams and coordinating maintenance activities
- Knowledge of failure analysis, operational safety, and continuous-improvement methodologies
- Experience with pipelay operations and subsea line launch systems preferred
- Offshore experience preferred
- Familiarity with Maintenance Management Systems preferred
