About the role

  • Provide non-metallic materials technical support to the Rigid Pipeline, Flexible, Umbilical and SPS Technologies projects
  • Perform engineering to establish and maintain design rules and design tools related to non-metallic materials selection and specifications.
  • Contribute to standardisation initiatives and deploy digital tools for material selection
  • Review materials documentations for projects specific and customer specific requirements.
  • Support projects related to Products Life Maintenance and New Products Developments and contribute to technology roadmaps for non-metallic materials.
  • Participate in the development of planning and budgeting for these projects.
  • Provide Technical support related to non-metallic special processes (extrusion, injection molding, coating, painting) in coordination with TechnipFMC manufacturing units and Supply Chain to ensure flowless high quality projects execution.
  • Collaborate with Core Technologies R&D team and Project & Tender team.
  • Provide technical input during supplier audits, supplier qualification, and technical queries.
  • Maintain state of the art knowledge on coating industry and new materials development in order to identify opportunities for product and process improvements and R&D projects.
  • Liaise with legal, procurement and IP departments to ensure necessary agreement are in place with partners and external entities.

Requirements

  • Degree in Materials Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Advanced English
  • Experience in subsea or similar industries
  • Strong knowledge of non-metallic materials (anti-corrosion and insulation coatings, thermoplastics, elastomers, thermosets) and their manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with non-metallics mechanical and ageing tests
  • Experience with SSI principles and digital engineering tools
