About the role

  • Supports global ongoing Surface Completions/Frac field operations and customer escalations remotely from a central control room location in Houston, TX.
  • Stands ready to rapidly respond to troubleshoot system issues and bring resolution to customers and "boots on the ground" colleagues.
  • Monitors system health on current jobs and collects/analyzes data to make improvements and to provide basis for operational decisions.
  • Functions as a central support liaison that ties operations, engineering, sales, and inventory/asset management together.
  • Provides technical support of TechnipFMC CyberFrac for user management, account creation, permission settings, and job management.
  • Monitors and acts on TechnipFMC CyberFrac active alarms for jobs in progress.
  • Maintains KPI dashboards using TechnipFMC CyberFrac.
  • Hosts internal and external customers in the Remote Operations Center for meetings and monitoring critical operations.
  • Reports/relays field nonconformances to the quality and engineering team and assists in their resolution.
  • Supports field non-conformance investigations by analyzing operational logs to determine root causes.
  • Remotely supports new product development for software and hardware via internal testing and introduction to the field.
  • Applies remote visibility to ensure iComplete assets are being utilized properly and efficiently.
  • Works with operations and sales to maintain an accurate CyberFrac project schedule.
  • Occasionally uses CAD/CAM and database systems to make layouts, analyze designs, evaluate equipment systems and generate new equipment designs.
  • Prepares documentation, information and communications such as ECN (Engineering Change Notices), field installation/commissioning procedures (ICP) and operations and maintenance manuals for iComplete automation portfolio.
  • Conducts training for internal service, sales, and engineering personnel as well as for external customers on digital/automation offering.
  • Responsible for maintaining and supporting embedded software and system development for application in control systems.
  • Manages software/logic updates, digital functionality, and standardization for fleet of iComplete control panels.
  • Manages application database.
  • Pre-configures frac job parameters per customer and pad requirements.
  • Prioritizes and executes digital engineering support requests from field operations and engineering.
  • Creates and interprets electrical diagrams (P&ID) and hardware layouts.
  • Provides product support during tenders as it relates to key performance indicators (KPI).
  • Provides input to continuous improvement to product portfolio.
  • Liaison with internal and external contacts for technical meetings and negotiations.
  • Supports customer technical meetings and provides coaching and direction to internal & external customers.
  • Makes trips to field operations locations for continuous improvement as well as for root cause analysis support.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics.
  • 2-3 years of related industry experience.
  • Experience with automation, control, network systems preferred.
  • Working knowledge of specific process technologies, procedures, products and applications.
  • Basic knowledge/skills in data analysis
  • Knowledgeable and field experience of wellhead, frac or pressure pumping product lines.
  • Must be familiar with/willing and able to learn CAD and Database systems related to Engineering functions.
  • Working knowledge of Oil and Gas completions market/products preferred.
  • Experience with embedded software and system development for application in control systems.
  • Working knowledge concerning the available types of, and the application of control system instrumentation.
  • Experience in relevant codes, design- and testing standards for products to be included in a control system.
  • Ability to solve complex product and system issues.
  • Capable of supporting multiple systems in parallel.
