About the role
- Plan and execute playtest activities across Techland’s portfolio
- Identify stakeholder needs and translate into research goals and long-term research roadmaps
- Recommend research approaches and select appropriate methods (surveys, interviews, telemetry, eyetracking, statistics, etc.)
- Analyze playtest results and craft actionable insights to support product iteration
- Communicate research findings effectively to diverse stakeholders, both verbal and written
- Drive research strategies within playtest area aligned with business priorities and track market trends
- Review and provide feedback on game builds to incorporate into research activities
- Develop close working relationships with Product, Design, Analytics, and QA teams
- Promote a player-centric culture and collaborate with consumer research lead on consumer projects (questionnaires, survey reports)
Requirements
- True passion for video games and knowledge of latest titles and industry trends
- At least 2 years of experience in user experience research, ideally in gamedev
- Fluency in English
- Deep understanding of UX research methodologies and recent industry trends
- Skilled in synthesising broad datasets into actionable, user-friendly reports
- Excellent planning, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and timely in task implementation
- Technological proficiency in the gaming space
- Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders and present to senior stakeholders
- Knowledge of R and/or Python is welcomed
- Experience with methods such as surveys, interviews, telemetry, game video analysis, eyetracking, and inferential statistics
