About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead coverage of AI Model/Compute Trends, Edge AI, and Physical AI
Define research priorities and analytical frameworks with practice leadership
Lead data collection, conduct expert interviews, and synthesize quantitative and qualitative intelligence
Deliver event-driven analysis on market-moving AI and compute announcements
Author flagship research using proprietary teardown analysis, technical costing, demand intelligence, and analyst community data
Establish and uphold analytical quality, consistency, and intellectual integrity standards
Independently research, write, and publish high-impact analysis
Build and steward networks of industry contacts, journalists, and conference organizers
Drive AI coverage visibility across social media and owned media channels
Distill complex technical analysis into accessible insights for clients, media, analysts, and investment and technology communities
Represent TechInsights at industry events, conferences, trade shows, and panels
Own client relationships, respond to client requests, lead customer meetings, and deliver forecast updates and expert commentary
Partner with sales leadership on presentations, new business development, and renewals
Surface actionable market intelligence and translate field intelligence into strategic recommendations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Deep, applied expertise in semiconductors and technology ecosystems
Years of hands-on research and industry engagement in the AI compute and semiconductor landscape
Established professional network spanning AI compute, semiconductors, media, press, and analyst communities
Ability to independently tackle complex, ambiguous problems and conduct self-directed learning
Ability to build trust and rapport to obtain non-public insights
Ability to synthesize complex information from multiple primary and secondary sources
Independent analytical judgment and ability to advise practice leadership on strategic implications
Excellent writing and confident presentation skills
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
Fluency across multicultural and multilingual environments
Informed perspective on geopolitics and AI sovereignty
English speaker
French and German ideally mastered as one or two additional European languages
Knowledge of Asian languages is a welcome asset
Latest citizenship and/or permanent residency information required for U.S. Export Control compliance
Willingness to travel for events, conferences, and relationship-building
