About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and implement scalable, maintainable, observable, and high-performing application architecture.
- Develop clean, efficient, and well-documented code following engineering best practices.
- Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, and technical standards across the engineering team.
- Identify and optimize system performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver impactful features.
- Ensure application security and implement safeguards against vulnerabilities.
- Apply modern software engineering principles including Domain-Driven Design (DDD), SOLID, and GRASP.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience building and delivering large-scale production systems.
- Strong understanding of Domain-Driven Design, API-first architecture, and software design patterns.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (React/Next.js) or another backend language, ideally Node.js or PHP.
- Experience with Pub/Sub systems, WebSockets, and Server-Sent Events (SSE).
- Experience working with scalable backend and platform architecture.
- Product engineering mindset with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and deliver features end-to-end.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
