About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead requirements-gathering and scoping meetings with business areas, HR, Payroll and technical teams.
- Translate functional requirements into technical specifications for the development and maintenance of integrations.
- Develop, configure and support Workday integrations using Workday Studio and other platform tools.
- Work on the development and maintenance of integrations using Camel K.
- Analyze, diagnose and resolve issues related to integrations between Workday and payroll systems.
- Ensure the quality, stability and monitoring of integrations in the production environment.
- Manage and prioritize the integration development backlog, ensuring SLAs and deadlines are met with stakeholders and vendors.
- Serve as the technical and functional lead for integration flows, leading meetings with vendors and internal teams, without direct people management responsibilities.
- Participate in functional, integration and UAT testing.
- Produce technical and functional documentation for implemented solutions.
- Collaborate with global teams, vendors and stakeholders to ensure solutions are delivered according to established quality standards.
- Identify opportunities for automation, simplification and continuous improvement of integration processes.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience with integrations involving Payroll systems, regardless of specific provider.
- Experience facilitating workshops and requirements meetings with business stakeholders.
- Experience in Workday integrations implementation, enhancement and support projects.
- Advanced knowledge of Workday Integration, with solid understanding of Workday's native data flow (e.g., PECI, Core Connectors, EIB, Cloud Connect for Third-Party Payroll).
- Hands-on experience with Workday Studio.
- Knowledge and experience with Camel K (orchestration layer for integrations external to Workday).
- Knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs, web services and file-based integrations.
- Understanding of HR and Payroll processes.
- Experience with integrations that are agnostic to multiple payroll systems — more relevant than knowledge of a single provider.
- Experience with troubleshooting and analysis of integration logs.
- Advanced English for participation in global meetings.
- Availability to work on-site 1 to 2 times per week.
