Serve as a Staff-level technical leader across C&R
Drive backend architecture and system design decisions in Java/Spring-based services
Lead high-impact scalability, performance, and reliability initiatives from design through production
Act as a go-to technical resource for complex domain and system questions
Partner closely with Product to translate C&R workflows into scalable technical solutions
Collaborate with Platform teams to improve observability, reliability, and operational standards
Improve system health by addressing legacy complexity, performance bottlenecks, and architectural gaps
Elevate the team through pairing, design reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing

Requirements

10+ years of professional software engineering experience
Expert-level Java experience with deep Spring framework knowledge
Strong backend focus with solid relational database expertise (PostgreSQL preferred)
Experience working in complex, legacy product domains with evolving architectures
Proven ability to influence technical direction beyond individual contributions
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with Product, SRE, Platform, and Support
Clear communicator who builds trust and drives alignment across teams
Pragmatic decision-maker who balances speed, quality, and long-term system health.
