About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define the architecture for the endpoint platform, Windows services, and supporting cloud systems
Design automation and AI-powered actions on customer devices, including permissions, safeguards, rollback mechanisms, and auditability
Establish architectural standards, engineering best practices, and guidelines for AI-generated code in production systems
Evaluate technical solutions, conduct proofs of concept, and recommend scalable and secure designs
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to globally distributed platform engineering teams
Drive architectural decisions and maintain documentation of designs, standards, and key decisions
Monitor emerging technologies, cloud platforms, and AI tooling and identify improvement opportunities
Own non-functional platform architecture, ensuring reliability, performance, security, scalability, and cost efficiency

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of software engineering experience building applications in C++ or .NET
Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Cassandra, or ScyllaDB
Deep understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, high-availability platforms, microservices, and containerized environments
Experience designing systems that perform automated or AI-driven actions on managed endpoints, including security controls and auditing requirements
Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development and understanding of appropriate production use of AI-generated code
Experience building and operating solutions in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, including infrastructure automation
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
