About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation test frameworks for web applications and APIs.
  • Develop and execute automated functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test suites.
  • Validate application functionality, performance, and reliability within authenticated cloud environments.
  • Develop and maintain API automation to ensure the integrity of backend services and integrations.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to identify, investigate, and resolve defects throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and continuous delivery.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and code reviews to embed quality throughout the development process.
  • Perform root cause analysis on defects and provide clear documentation and reporting.
  • Continuously improve test automation coverage, testing processes, and quality standards.
  • Promote best practices in quality assurance and test automation across the engineering team.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in QA Automation Engineering.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with automation testing frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong understanding of testing applications in authenticated cloud environments.
  • Demonstrated experience testing RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, automation best practices, and defect lifecycle management.
  • Experience working within Agile software development teams.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • **Preferred Qualifications**
  • Experience with Django.
  • Proficiency in SQL for database validation and data integrity testing.
  • Experience using Postman for API testing and validation.
  • Hands-on experience with Python.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
  • Experience testing financial technology, payments, banking, accounting, or other systems where security, accuracy, and reliability are critical.
