About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify, cultivate, and close new corporate and foundation partnership opportunities supporting Team Rubicon’s financial and programmatic goals
- Proactively source, qualify, and close new partnership opportunities not currently in TR’s portfolio
- Research, build, and manage a pipeline of new business leads with forecasting and progress tracking
- Qualify and vet inbound donor and partnership inquiries for strategic fit
- Develop customized pitch materials and proposal decks
- Negotiate, craft, interpret, and enforce legally binding contracts with strategic partners
- Coordinate internal handoffs to Strategic Partnerships and Institutional Giving teams
- Collaborate with Programs, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders to shape feasible and impactful partnerships
- Monitor corporate social responsibility and institutional philanthropy trends to identify opportunities
- Represent Team Rubicon at networking events, industry forums, and professional associations
- Report to the Director, Business Development
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5–7 years of combined fundraising and management experience
- Proven ability to cultivate, solicit, and manage corporate partnerships that drive revenue and strategic impact
- Experience engaging and influencing senior-level corporate decision-makers
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including efficiently creating and manipulating Excel data
- Experience using donor database systems such as Mission CRM or Salesforce
- Ability to work a flexible and non-traditional schedule
- Willingness and ability to travel at least 40% for site visits, conferences, and donor meetings
