About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct inspections of the work area and meet with field supervisors to discuss any potential problems
- Advise operations regarding Ledcor's Health and Safety Management System
- Monitor compliance with jurisdictional regulatory requirements
- Assists in the coordination and completion of safe work procedures, hazard assessments, safety inspections, focus audits, and incident investigations
- Provide support to site leadership in the preparation of site-specific material for safety meetings and toolbox talks
- Develop and enhance Job Hazard Analysis and Safe Work Practice documents
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of related work experience in heavy civil, mining, or related industry
- Must hold a CRSP, Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, CSO or NCSO designation
- Technical knowledge of common construction practices, techniques, and equipment within the Pipeline Construction and/or Pipeline Maintenance Industries
- Ability to effectively communicate and present information to the hourly workforce
- Demonstrated experience in risk assessment, program development, safety & health training, and accident investigation
- Strong computer competency including experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Must have and maintain a valid provincial driver’s license and driver's abstract
