Senior Telecommunications Superintendent

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Will ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes
- Leads the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversees incident investigations
- Reviews and updates construction schedules, addresses delays, and contributes to project schedules
- Estimates activity durations and materials for complex projects
- Working knowledge of reporting and tracking of financial aspects of the project
- Participates in subcontractor, supplier selection , procurement and negotiations
- Will set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team
- Provides leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8 plus years of experience in as a Telecommunications construction Superintendent
- Knowledge of underground fiber installation using boring and plow equipment
- Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset
- Effective Communication and leadership skills
- Ability to directly supervise craft employees as well as sub-contractors
- Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate and address issues
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices
- Strong organizational and planning skills
