About the role
- Develop eLearning synchronous and asynchronous content for distance-delivery
- Use strategic and intentional design, writing, optimization and publishing from customer-established requirements, goals, and content.
- Program Shareable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM)-conformant asynchronous eLearning courses using a variety of applications.
- Support deployment of courses on Moodle Learning Management System (LMS), Blackboard Learn and/or a similar system
- Use software applications such as JAWS or JAWS Inspect to ensure that content being developed is screen reader accessible.
- Use software applications such as ANDI or comparable software and other mediums of content delivery, such as PowerPoint, audio, flash cards, slick sheets, pamphlets, or standard operating procedures.
- Utilize ADDIE in all course development projects
- Lead the development of the related course and supporting materials (training syllabi, storyboards, modules, course content, content presentation, graphics, depictions, images, videos, narratives/scripts, case studies, exercises, knowledge checks, quizzes, user experience, skills verification)
Requirements
- ACTIVE TS/SCI SECURITY CLEARANCE
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Instructional Systems Design, Adult Education, Marketing, and other similar fields where tailored customer/consumer content is developed for varied audiences.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience developing eLearning synchronous and asynchronous content for distance-delivery
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience developing and programming Shareable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM)-conformant asynchronous eLearning courses
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience with internet protocols such as XML, PHP, HTML, Cascading Style Sheets, Java applets and scripting.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting deployment of asynchronous eLearning courses on Moodle Learning Management System (LMS), Blackboard Learn and/or a similar system.
- Demonstrated experience with software applications such as JAWS or JAWS Inspect and software applications such as ANDI or comparable software.
- Master’s degree from an accredited university in Instructional Systems Design, Adult Education, Marketing, and other similar fields and more than two (2) years of experience designing and developing instructor led courses, virtual instructor-led courses, self-paced eLearning courses, and performance support tools.
- OR o In lieu of a Master’s degree, a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and more than five (5) years of experience designing and developing instructor-led courses, virtual instructor-led courses, self-paced eLearning courses, and performance support tools.
- Two (2) or more years of experience with rapid eLearning authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate/Animate, Articulate Storyline, and Adobe Professional Suite.
- Two (2) or more years of experience interfacing with internal and external customers in a high-volume environment.
- Successful completion of the Trusted Tester Web Certification Program and the Authoring Accessible Documents Program through the DHS OAST.
