About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and produce original static and video content from concept through publication across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms
  • Film original on-camera and behind-the-scenes content, both self-shot and on location
  • Edit polished, platform-native video optimized for each channel
  • Monitor social and cultural trends and identify relevant opportunities for the brand
  • Track and interpret performance data to guide content decisions
  • Partner with the Managing Director of Social Media to execute channel strategy and achieve growth and engagement goals
  • Maintain the publishing cadence and own the day-to-day content calendar
  • Write platform-native, brand-aligned copy and captions
  • Engage with the community through comments and direct messages
  • Manage light production logistics, including sourcing talent or corps members, scheduling shoots, and organizing footage
  • Collaborate with the design team to adapt content across formats
  • Stay current on platform changes, tools, and content formats
  • Review performance, extract insights, recommend adjustments, and plan upcoming shoots

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years creating social content
  • Portfolio or reel of original work filmed and edited by the candidate
  • Illustrative and design skills
  • Hands-on video production and editing skills using CapCut, Premiere, or equivalent
  • Experience shooting on both phone and camera
  • Deep fluency in social platforms, formats, and channel-specific performance, especially short-form video
  • Strong understanding of internet culture and Gen Z audiences
  • Proven track record growing engagement and following on at least one channel
  • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills in a platform-native voice
  • Ability to pull and interpret performance data to guide content decisions
  • Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple posts and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable both in front of and behind the camera
  • Preferred: experience as an on-camera host or creator
  • Preferred: community management and creator/influencer partnership experience
  • Preferred: personal content-creator experience with a growing audience
  • Preferred: design background or passion
