About the role
- Focus on electrical design, simulation, and verification-validation testing of high-speed connector, cable assembly, and radio system products
- Independently work on signal integrity projects including modeling, simulation, testing and circuit board layout
- Establish signal integrity design performance and functional requirements for new products
- Perform signal integrity simulations for multiple high-speed standards, selecting appropriate methodology and setup
- Perform PCB schematic and layout reviews and provide actionable recommendations
- Guide connector design and component qualifications from a signal integrity standpoint
- Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, manufacturing, and operations teams to execute product designs
- Serve as subject matter expert from initial analysis through prototype fabrication, evaluation, and production verification testing
- Make data-driven decisions to improve product functionality and resolve design issues
Requirements
- Subject matter expert in signal integrity design, simulation and validation activities through product development cycles
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of relevant work experience in electrical design, RF design, or PCB design
- Proficient with signal integrity analysis tools (Agilent ADS, Ansys HFSS, CST, or equivalent tools)
- A solid understanding of electromagnetic theory and electrical circuit behavior
- Strong analytical capabilities to interpret simulation and lab data to identify issues and provide solutions
- Familiarity with printed circuit board design, fabrication and assembly
- Fluent in English (both verbal and written)
- Ability to work in a global environment and accommodate varying time zones
- Highly motivated, quick learner, able to work independently
- Willingness to travel 10% to 25%
