About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support testing, implementation, and production enablement of KYC technology solutions
- Serve as a business subject matter expert for designated KYC applications and business processes
- Act as a key point of contact between KYC Operations and Change Management teams
- Provide guidance on application functionality, business requirements, user impacts, and operational dependencies
- Support UAT, system testing, production validation testing, and business readiness activities
- Develop, maintain, and execute test scenarios, test cases, and validation plans
- Document testing results and identify, track, and help resolve defects
- Support release readiness and implementation activities
- Assess operational impacts of system changes and enhancements
- Escalate issues and risks affecting operational readiness
- Track defect remediation and validate fixes
- Assist with root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain KYC files, data, and documents in accordance with KYC policies, standards, and service-level agreements
- Perform customer reviews throughout the customer lifecycle
- Prepare records, data, and reviews for auditors and regulators
- Provide KYC research, evaluation, operational, reporting, and analytical support
- Prepare summaries, communications, reports, and presentations for management, regulators, and stakeholders
- Analyze data, emerging regulatory trends, and KYC operations gaps; provide recommendations
- Coordinate tracking and reporting of KYC Operations initiatives and programs
- Assist in reviewing and updating higher-risk customer information
- Manage workload, risks, confidentiality, policies, regulatory guidelines, and AML consistency
- Collaborate with FCRM and compliance partners
- Keep stakeholders informed about project and activity status
- Support knowledge transfer, training, coaching, and guidance within the team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Undergraduate Degree or equivalent professional work experience
- 2+ years of direct experience in financial services or similar industries, including fraud, KYC, AML, sanctions screening, or similar roles for new joiners; alternatively, 6+ years in an unrelated role involving information fluency, investigation, research, or financial services broadly
- Internal candidates may qualify through a proven track record of excellence based on metrics or manager discretion
- Advanced understanding of products, services, processes, procedures, systems, concepts, and integration points in the specialty area
- Ability to independently perform activities end to end
- Ability to manage ambiguity and use judgment to troubleshoot and resolve business and operational issues
- Ability to interpret and administer policies and implement business process improvements
- Ability to make process and capacity-management decisions
- Ability to maintain KYC files, data, and documents according to KYC policies, standards, and service-level agreements
- Ability to perform customer lifecycle reviews and prepare records for auditors and regulators
- KYC research, evaluation, operational, reporting, and analytical capabilities
- Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions for program-health reporting
- Ability to analyze regulatory trends and recommend enhancements
- Ability to identify matters requiring review or escalation
- Knowledge of AML and ability to coordinate consistently with FCRM and compliance partners
- Ability to exercise discretion with confidential information and manage risk
