About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide business technical leadership across information management functions supporting data and analytics
  • Lead analysis, design, and support of business data management solutions across projects
  • Analyze, design, and develop data repositories, warehouses, marts, data movement, data wrangling, data mapping, and ETL processes
  • Support data solutions, applications, platforms, and tools used by Data Scientists and Business Insights & Analytics teams
  • Develop data preparation frameworks and architecture for Data Scientist consumption
  • Support data modeling capabilities for structuring business data
  • Support business teams in using and understanding data and reporting solutions
  • Develop data road maps, information management strategies, and technical solutions for integrating, transforming, and managing data
  • Drive complex data-centric solution development and adopt the Enterprise Data model
  • Gather and analyze data requirements to enable information management solutions
  • Establish, maintain, and enhance data management practices across Credit Risk programs
  • Partner with Data Owners, Data Stewards, technology teams, and business stakeholders to improve data quality and resolve data issues
  • Document data requirements, support regulatory compliance, and enable trusted data for decision-making
  • Develop business requirements, data models, business rules, data lifecycle management, governance, lineage, metadata, and reporting elements
  • Apply automation and innovation to data platforms and development projects
  • Design and implement complex business data information management frameworks
  • Collaborate with technology and business partners to resolve issues and meet SLAs
  • Provide expert guidance, data impact assessments, and data risk mitigation
  • Implement data information management standards and data quality processes
  • Maintain knowledge of upstream data sources and data across platforms
  • Identify critical data and critical data elements for governance and data management programs
  • Perform data profiling using TD tooling and ad hoc query languages
  • Support users throughout the data lifecycle and lead root-cause investigations for data issues
  • Support knowledge transfer and data expertise activities
  • Assess impacts of emerging issues, trends, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate as a subject matter expert in cross-functional and enterprise initiatives
  • Mentor others, share knowledge, and contribute to team development
  • Keep stakeholders informed about project status and day-to-day activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Relevant background in business administration, statistics, mathematics, science, or finance
  • Expert knowledge of business information management and related areas
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fluency in one or two programming languages
  • In-depth experience working with very large datasets
  • Familiarity with big data technologies
  • Familiarity with visualization tools
  • Knowledge of data sources, tools, and technologies used to prepare summaries and reports
  • Knowledge of data analysis methods and reporting techniques
  • Skill in using analytical software tools
  • Skill in mentoring and coaching others
  • Skill in using computer applications including MS Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
