About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide support to Consumer and Mortgage Loan Processing through document preparation for loan closings
  • Work with closing agents to ensure necessary information is provided to complete loan closing packages
  • Prepare legal, regulatory, and custom closing documentation within company policies and applicable legal and regulatory guidelines
  • Review loan documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with state and federal lending regulations
  • Complete quality control analysis of standard and nonstandard loan documentation
  • Ensure data integrity and perform workgroup functions to avert losses and reduce undue risk
  • Act as a mentor and resource to Loan Closer I
  • Provide training to Loan Closer I
  • Answer phones to assist internal and external customers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's Degree and/or Bachelor's degree
  • Mortgage Operations: 2–4 years of loan documentation experience
  • Consumer Operations: 1+ years of loan documentation experience
  • Knowledge of applicable lending practices
  • Ability to understand and apply processing procedures and processes
  • Detail oriented with ability to audit and correct procedural errors
  • Ability to maintain positive business relationships with partners, customers, and agents
  • Ability to handle heavy workload and meet stringent deadlines
  • Ability to interact effectively with internal customers from various departments
  • Working knowledge of the Bank's loan products
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • PC skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Availability to work a variable schedule, including nights and/or weekends
  • Ability to perform sedentary work continuously
