About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Launch new TD Auto Finance products, programs, and services from inception to delivery
- Understand growth and profitability objectives and generate product ideas
- Gather high-level requirements and develop business cases
- Gain executive support and manage stakeholders across impacted teams
- Build product value propositions and map required investments
- Formulate product portfolio strategy, policy, and overall direction
- Develop and implement products, policies, and procedures to enhance the end-to-end customer experience
- Oversee delivery of products and services to customers
- Act as subject matter expert for product-related inquiries and advise senior management
- Lead business plans to increase new account growth and track P&L impact
- Analyze customer, market, industry, and competitor trends and identify opportunities
- Facilitate ideation and problem-solving sessions with partners and vendors
- Design end-to-end processes for product and segment development, implementation, reporting, and feedback
- Direct market research to determine customer needs
- Manage product features and enhancements and support strategic initiatives
- Deliver financial results through pricing, margin, volume, acquisition, retention, customer experience, engagement, and market share levers
- Support product reviews, planning, forecasting, and strategic review sessions
- Establish product policies and processes aligned with risk appetite
- Oversee product deliverables within budget and approved plans
- Champion annual business planning and monthly/quarterly forecasting
- Collaborate with IT, operations, legal, compliance, marketing, and other internal and external service providers
- Identify and manage market, credit, and operational risks
- Maintain relationships with distribution channel owners and business partners
- Mentor colleagues, share knowledge, and support team development
Requirements
What you’ll need- Undergraduate degree or product certificate and/or 10+ years of relevant experience
- Previous product experience required
- Experience leading strategy strongly recommended
- Advanced knowledge of product research, product analysis and development, forecasting, pricing, and competitive intelligence
- Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends
- Advanced ability to lead, plan, implement, and evaluate program/project activities
- Ability to forecast and contribute to product strategic direction and advise senior leadership
- Ability to establish goals and objectives supporting the strategic plan
- Skill in mentoring, coaching, and performance management
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate and build relationships across teams and functions
- Ability to work successfully independently and as a team member
- Sound judgment in decision-making
- Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
- Skill in preparing and managing budgets and P&L
- Knowledge of analytical software tools, data analysis methods, and reporting techniques
