About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create a consistent and exceptional branch customer experience, with a predominant focus on investment advice
  • Provide investment advice and experiences using deep knowledge of investment products
  • Apply knowledge of Real Estate Secured Lending, day-to-day banking, and other TD products and services
  • Ask questions to understand customer needs and own solutions aligned with the mandate
  • Improve customer financial confidence through ongoing dialogue, answers, and advice
  • Act as a branch subject matter expert for customers and colleagues on TD products, services, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain a professional and inviting branch space in accordance with premises, marketing, and regulatory guidelines
  • Conduct proactive customer outreach by phone, email, and other channels regarding portfolio updates and opportunities
  • Maintain a presence in the community for additional customer outreach
  • Monitor the local market, competitive offers, and economic trends to support recommendations
  • Ensure customer and business documentation is accurate and retained according to policies and procedures
  • Participate as a team member and support a positive work environment
  • Communicate issues and points of interest in a timely manner
  • Attract, acquire, and retain customers, advice opportunities, and referrals to drive TD growth and market share

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma and/or Post-Secondary or Undergraduate degree in a related field preferred
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Investment Funds in Canada (IFC) accreditation or equivalent required prior to start date
  • Certificate in Financial Services Advice (CFSA) required within 90 days of hire for external candidates and prior to start date for internal TD candidates
  • Deep knowledge and expertise of investment products
  • In-depth knowledge of Real Estate Secured Lending, day-to-day banking, and TD products and services
  • Ability to provide financial planning advice and identify customer needs
  • Ability to accurately prepare and retain documentation according to business policies and procedures
