About the role
- Provides business data concern management leadership and support across a broad range of Business Segments and Corporate Functions
- Supports the US DMO (Data Management Office) by working with the team and Data Owners to identify risks impacting adherence to EDMO data concern management processes and identify efficiencies
- Works with numerous business stakeholders to understand impediments to adherence to Data Concern Management procedures
- Develops presentations/communications of data concern management adherence results
- Provides expertise within the specialized field and/or other data management functions that support business needs
- Understands department objectives and contributes by supporting data management activities
- Manages data in accordance with the Enterprise Data Policy, Standards and Strategy/EDMO Standards
- Works independently with minimal supervision / direction
- Uses good judgement and critical thinking to make decisions that advance the work
- Identifies and brings forward data risks to Leadership
- Delivers on commitments based on timelines
- Documentation of tasks and activities for audit purposes
- Communicates the leadership of issues, availability, and task completion
- Collaborates effectively with others to establish and execute on common goals
- Lead projects of moderately to complex risk and resource requirements; may lead end-to-end processes or functional programs
- Experienced with very large datasets and big data technologies
- Familiar with visualization tools
- Analyzes, designs, develops data repositories, warehouses and marts, ETL, data movement, data wrangling, data mapping and transformation
- Supports data modeling, information management strategies and corresponding technical solutions
- Drives data-centric solution development focusing on complex data integration
- Adopts the Enterprise Data model in alignment with OCDO direction
- Solicits, analyzes, and understands data requirements to enable information management solutions
- Develops data road map/information management strategies
- Develops and maintains knowledge of data available from upstream sources and data within various platforms
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate
- 5+ years of relevant experience from a business administration, statistical, mathematical, scientific or financial background
- Proficient knowledge of various data sources, tools and technologies used in preparing summaries and reports
- Analytical and problem solving skills are required to interpret data and draw conclusions
- Skill in using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques
- Skill in mentoring/coaching others
- Skill in using computer applications including MS Office
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships
- Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently
- Ability to exercise sound judgement in making decisions
- Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
