Life and Health Insurance Underwriter, Bilingual – French and English
TDMedical Insurance Underwriter assessing insurance applications for TD Insurance. Responsible for underwriting decisions, claims support, and client communication in both English and French.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Appropriate medical underwriting assessment and decisions for each risk according to the limits of the plan.
- Gathering insurance risk information by written supplementary health questionnaires or phone conversations with customers.
- Provide support to the claims department and handling claim referrals.
- Communicate underwriting decisions and detailed explanations of adverse handlings promptly to clients.
- Ensure applications are underwritten and processed according to TD’s underwriting guidelines.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5 years medical underwriting and insurance experience or a degree/diploma in health sciences.
- LOMA Life Underwriting 386
- LOMA Associate Customer Service
- English and French language skills (Verbal, Written and Reading)
- Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills
- Excellent computer skills
