About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the 3rd line of defence audit coverage for TD Bank Group's first line of defence in NACO, Corporate Functions, HR and 1st line Fraud
- Develop a risk-based Audit Plan for their portfolio
- Provide periodic reporting to governance committees including Audit Committees
- Deliver the plan evenly over the course of the year
- Adhere to audit standards
- Recommend, support & maintain appropriate resources to execute the plan
- Identify all significant control gaps in coverage areas
- Provide clear, comprehensive and timely reporting on significant control matters
- Stay current on evolving regulatory expectations and industry practices
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators and external auditors
- Attract, develop and retain talent and maintain active pipeline for SMEs
Requirements
What you’ll need- 15+ years leading Audit
- Passion for understanding how rapid changes in the financial services sector will impact the enterprise
- Previous experience developing and executing on strategies in both the short and long term
- Strong people management skills; experience building and leading high performing teams
- Demonstrated relationship building and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent analytical skills in assessing risk and issues
- Skillful communication (written and verbal), negotiation and partnership skills
- Strong presentation skills to facilitate working with senior management
- Robust organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
