Senior IT Build, CICS Programmer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide system support of IBM's Customer Information Control System (CICS) on z/OS
- Participate in planning, analysis, design, building, testing, consulting and implementation on CICS related projects
- Maintain CICS infrastructure on the z/OS platform
- Support CICS related products
- Support CICS application developers
- Mentor less experienced CICS Systems Programmers
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5-10 years of CICS and/or application experience
- Sound understanding of CICS, CICSPlex and CTG internal and externals
- Sound understanding of z/OS components and architecture
- Sound knowledge of z/OS and CICS diagnostics tools and tooling
- Working knowledge of SMP/e, Omegamon and System Automation
- Performance analysis skills is an asset
- Solid problem-solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a self-starter, team player, and able to collaborate positively with other departments
