shape the future of banking at TD, leading the development of next-generation digital asset and tokenization capabilities within TD Securities
define and deliver the enterprise technology strategy that unlocks new market infrastructure, drives innovation in transaction banking, and positions TD at the forefront of emerging financial ecosystems
Operating at the intersection of strategy, engineering, and regulatory leadership, this role offers significant enterprise visibility and the chance to build and scale a transformative platform with global impact
Act as design authority across core components including distributed ledgers, smart contracts, wallets, integration layers, and enterprise platforms
Lead engineering delivery of a production-grade tokenized deposits platform
Oversee integration with core banking systems (GL, deposits, payments, reconciliation) to ensure integrity between on-chain and system-of-record activity
Establish operating model and governance frameworks to enable rapid yet controlled delivery
Drive regulatory alignment across AML, sanctions, privacy, operational risk, and audit requirements.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field
MBA or advanced technical degree preferred
15+ years in financial services technology leadership
5+ years leading large scale digital assets, blockchain or fintech platforms
Experience within GSIBs, Tier 1 investment banks, systemically regulated financial institutions, major fintech infrastructure providers
Proven track record managing global engineering organizations and multi-million-dollar technology budgets
Deep expertise in digital assets, distributed ledger technology, and enterprise platform architecture
Proven experience leading large-scale platform builds within regulated financial institutions
Strong understanding of global banking regulation, risk, and control environments for emerging technologies
Track record of executive stakeholder management and multi-entity coordination (US, Canada, TDS)
Ability to operate as both strategic architect and execution leader
Executive presence and board level communication skills
Strong regulatory engagement capability
Strategic thinking with hands on execution orientation
Crisis management and operational leadership
Ability to influence across complex matrix organizations
strong people leadership and talent development.
