About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide leadership and oversight of a team responsible for implementing TDS End-to-End Risk & Control Self-Assessments (E2E RCSA)
- Identify and document process risks and controls
- Perform risk assessments
- Monitor risk and control environment
- Direct management of team, including hiring and termination
- Lead process improvement initiatives
- Assist with external event scenario analysis
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, risk management, and control expectations
- Manage ad-hoc governance, risk management and control projects or tasks
- Establish strong relationships with business partners and Control Partners
- Support executive reporting with data insights
Requirements
What you’ll need- University or post-graduate degree
- Professional accounting/auditing/risk management designation would be considered an asset
- Technical skills with experience in using small tech tools to develop process improvement ideas (e.g., UiPath, Python, Alteryx, SQL, VBA)
- Minimum 4 years of Risk, Audit, and/or Compliance experience (financial services industry preferred)
- Knowledge of capital markets businesses preferred
- Strong analytical/research skills & business acumen
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Flexibility to quickly adapt to changing and ambiguous initiatives
- Effective time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to take initiative and work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion
