About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide leadership and oversight of a team responsible for implementing TDS End-to-End Risk & Control Self-Assessments (E2E RCSA)
  • Identify and document process risks and controls
  • Perform risk assessments
  • Monitor risk and control environment
  • Direct management of team, including hiring and termination
  • Lead process improvement initiatives
  • Assist with external event scenario analysis
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, risk management, and control expectations
  • Manage ad-hoc governance, risk management and control projects or tasks
  • Establish strong relationships with business partners and Control Partners
  • Support executive reporting with data insights

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University or post-graduate degree
  • Professional accounting/auditing/risk management designation would be considered an asset
  • Technical skills with experience in using small tech tools to develop process improvement ideas (e.g., UiPath, Python, Alteryx, SQL, VBA)
  • Minimum 4 years of Risk, Audit, and/or Compliance experience (financial services industry preferred)
  • Knowledge of capital markets businesses preferred
  • Strong analytical/research skills & business acumen
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Flexibility to quickly adapt to changing and ambiguous initiatives
  • Effective time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion
