About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead an underwriting department for the Healthcare Practice Solutions Group (HPSG)
  • Manage approximately 6 underwriters
  • Oversee workflow and review of approval packages
  • Recommend and/or approve loans within NCUM I credit authority
  • Ensure adherence to Risk Policies and drive satisfactory regulatory audits
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with business partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of relevant commercial lending relationship management, underwriting, and/or adjudication experience
  • Prior lending authority >/= $1 million preferred
  • Proven leadership abilities
  • Ability to lead in a highly professional, systems-based environment
  • Proven analytical and research skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Proven organizational, multi-tasking, analytical, time management and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of value-add credit structuring in a commercial banking environment
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team orientation
  • Computer literacy with a variety of software programs
  • Demonstrated credit underwriting and administration skills
  • Proven ability to identify and mitigate risk
