About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide subject-matter expertise and execute Data Retention and Disposition activities
- Define and maintain retention requirements aligned to Enterprise Data Policy/Standards
- Map data sets to retention schedules
- Support legal hold processes and coordinate disposition workflows
- Ensure compliance with EDMO Standards
- Maintain knowledge of data management practices and procedures
- Drive automation of data management practices
- Advise and consult on projects related to implementation of data management practices
- Oversee end-to-end data management practices
- Conduct internal and external research projects
- Track, assess, and report on data governance performance and control effectiveness
Requirements
What you’ll need- University or post-graduate degree; professional data management designation would be considered an asset
- 10+ years of relevant experience in Data Management, Data Retention & Disposition, and Data Lifecycle Management
- Solid knowledge of implementing and leading data governance and data management practices
- Solid knowledge of Capital Markets data strategy, data risk management, and data lifecycle management
- Knowledge of current and emerging competitors and market trends in Data Management
- Skill in using analytical software tools, data analysis methods, and reporting techniques
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships
- Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in making decisions
- Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
