About the role
- Leads the review, analysis, and evaluation of real estate appraisals and valuations
- Assigns appraisal reviews to department staff and monitors workflow
- Follows up on vendor prepared valuations and reconciles differences
- Researches and maintains knowledge of residential real estate markets
- Evaluates appraisals of complex properties applying expert knowledge
- Participates in Criticized Asset Reviews when appropriate
- Assists commercial/residential loan officers in valuation issues
- Reviews complex commercial appraisals for compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or progressive work experience
- 7+ Years of related experience
- State Certified General Appraisers License and/or MAI designation
- Expert knowledge of commercial real estate valuation methodology and techniques
- In-depth knowledge of legal and regulatory aspects of commercial real estate valuation
- Strong analytical and evaluative skills
- Excellent interpersonal communications and negotiation skills
- Strong leadership skills including the ability to coach and develop staff
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills
