About the role
- Manages the creation, implementation and validation of various risk segmentation strategies
- Provides critical information, interpretative, and detailed analysis
- Deploys credit risk rational strategies that ensure compliance with governmental requirements
- Investigates, creates, implements and validates risk segmentation strategies and policies
- Works with Internal Audit / External Regulators to ensure documentation is complete and up-to-date
- Creates reports on the results of implemented strategies and makes recommendations for increased efficiencies
- Ensures sound credit control by taking a proactive approach to risk management
- Encourages a good working relationship with internal and external groups.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; Graduate degree preferred
- 5+ years' experience required
- Proficient PC skills including a strong competency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with Relational Databases and ETL using languages such as SQL or SAS
- Familiar with analytical or reporting tools, such as SAS, R, Matlab, Tableau, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills are required
- Experience in data modeling and risk management from a business or financial background
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experienced in developing and presenting recommendations to Senior Management.
