About the role

  • Provides subject matter expertise and creates a broad range of data models
  • Acts as a subject matter expert within their own area of specialization
  • Solves complex problems requiring analysis of multiple variables
  • Translates business requirements into technical requirements
  • Develops and/or designs data solutions and conducts reviews of data models and outputs to validate and test quality of information/solutions
  • Works closely with business owners to identify opportunities and serves as an ambassador for data modelling

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred (e.g., math, physics, engineering, finance or computer science)
  • Graduate's degree preferred with either progressive project work experience, or; 3+ years of relevant experience; higher degree education and research tenure can be counted
  • Experience or familiarity with allowance for credit loss calculation.
  • Master's degree in a quantitative of discipline and two or more years experience at a large financial institution in a related role or Doctoral degree in a quantitative discipline.
