About the role

  • Manages or oversees operations of several functions or processes within Loan Operations
  • Develops and manages the team by recruiting, training and coaching
  • Leads and applies the performance management process
  • Continuously assesses the quality of team member performance, incoming volumes, productivity, capacity, SLAs and metrics
  • Establishes policies and procedures to manage the performance of units supervised
  • Provides leadership in the absence of the department manager
  • Serves as change agent to identify and implement continuous improvement within teams
  • Provides recommendations toward strategic vision and tactical goals
  • Participates or leads multiple projects within department or across divisions
  • Develops relationships with management of internal and external functions/departments
  • Influences others to gain support and sponsorship for departmental initiatives
  • Manages bank conversions as they pertain to managed operational units
  • Develops effective strategies and tactics to ensure successful completion and implementation of project goals and service level agreements
  • Develops and maintains an overall operating budget

Requirements

  • Work experience equivalent to Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years related experience required
  • In-depth knowledge of principles, policies, and practices related to operations
  • Demonstrated leadership, delegation, coaching, and mentoring skills
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve operational issues and conflicts
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Demonstrated problem/conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant banking and regulatory rules and policies
  • Proven ability to balance competing priorities and make sound decisions within, and outside of, established policy
  • Proven ability to develop new policies and procedures in response to, and in anticipation of, changes in the business environment
