About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administer and maintain our SAM tool and licensing database.
  • Collect proof of entitlements, review licensing terms, and upload agreements to ensure an accurate, up-to-date software inventory.
  • Analyze usage metrics, identify licensing variances, and recommend cost-saving optimization strategies.
  • Serve as the primary interface for software requests, reviewing submissions against compliance standards and business requirements.
  • Challenge justifications when needed and propose alternative solutions that balance user needs with licensing guidelines.
  • Advise global IT and business partners on software usage rights, helping them understand terms and avoid non-compliant installations.
  • Partner with IT and business communities worldwide to gather software deployment data and monitor subscription counts.
  • Coordinate cleanup efforts for redundant or unauthorized installations and escalate breaches promptly.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and compliance reports for IT leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Identify process gaps, implement best-practice workflows, and drive ongoing enhancements to our SAM framework.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to build relationships across multicultural teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new SAM and IT asset management tools quickly.
  • Comfortable working under deadlines, managing multiple priorities, and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Preferably Master’s degree or postgraduate certification in IT Asset Management, Software Licensing, or related field.
  • Experience with leading SAM platforms (e.g., Flexera, Snow, ServiceNow).
  • Familiarity with software licensing models (perpetual, subscription, SaaS) and vendor contract nuances.
  • Basic understanding of IT asset lifecycle and procurement processes.
