About the role
- Edit, format, and publish content, including blog posts, social media posts, video scripts, infographics, whitepapers, and product descriptions
- Fact-check details such as dates, figures, or statistics, to ensure accuracy
- Proofread copy to correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors
- Edit articles to improve readability through brevity, linking, and word choice
- Maintain style guide requirements, as well as proper voice and tone
- Upload files and enter data and deck lists for the publication process
- Adhere to roadmaps and content calendars for prioritizing the publishing of content
- Update content calendars and deliverables grids as milestone tasks are completed
- Learn and employ back-end systems and syntax required to publish content
- Review published content to ensure errors or bugs in the final published product are immediately found and addressed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Communications or equivalent experience
- Minimum 0-3 years experience editing copy, as part of a content team or individually
- Experience with different types of content, such as blog posts, social media posts, video scripts, and product descriptions
- Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal
- Familiarity with Google Docs and Microsoft Word
- Proficient editing and proofreading skills, with strong attention to detail
- Proficient time management skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team
