About the role

  • Provide input and support to HR team in general operations and administrative duties.
  • Coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes, including intake meetings and recruitment metrics.
  • Collect and manage documentation per BRC Recruitment Process and obtain management approvals.
  • Write and maintain job descriptions as required.
  • Review and evaluate applicants for qualifications and core values alignment.
  • Conduct phone screenings, interviews, and reference checks.
  • Hire applicants and authorize hiring paperwork.
  • Assist in refining recruitment practices and collaborate with Hiring Managers on Onboarding Plans.
  • Ensure IT setup and required onboarding documentation for new hires.
  • Send welcome emails and communicate onboarding plans and expectations.
  • Prepare swag items and order lunch for new hires on their first day.
  • Register fingerprints into National Time clock for production team members.
  • Complete HR orientation training with new hires bi-weekly for multiple shifts.
  • Complete new hire paperwork and assist Human Resources Manager with onboarding.
  • Lead the Social Committee and plan/execute events and initiatives.
  • Assist with Inclusion and Diversity initiatives and events.
  • Maintain accurate personnel records and compile HR statistical reports.
  • Send temporary team member timesheets to recruitment agencies weekly.
  • Update and maintain organizational charts.
  • Assist with policy writing, implementation, and provide recommendations.
  • Advise and assist Managers and Supervisors on policy interpretation and administration.
  • Educate employees on company policies, working conditions, benefits, and advancement opportunities.
  • Provide general information and assistance internally and externally.
  • Assist with health and safety items, committee minutes, first aid supply replenishment, and HR drop box checks.
  • Maintain HR files and manage work anniversary gifts, celebrations, and monthly birthday cards.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Reliable means of transportation (personal vehicle is a requirement) to the Office.
  • 4 days onsite and 1 work from home day – hybrid work model.
  • A University or College Diploma, preferably in business specializing in Human Resources, or equivalent.
  • Experience in high-volume Recruitment of at least 2-3 years in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in project management with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws including FMLA, OSHA standards.
  • Excellent communications skills, verbal and written and detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy.
  • Highly organized and effective time management skills.
  • High need and attention to strict confidentiality and discretion pertaining to HR and confidential information.
  • Good computer skills and ability to be flexible with following work instructions under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to take instructions and directives under the direction of Management.
  • High level of personal integrity coupled with a strong work ethic and self-starter approach.
  • Ability to make independently assessed decisions, with little to no supervision.
  • Conviction to improve personally and support continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
