About the role
- Monitor, detect, and analyze fraudulent activity, trends, and emerging patterns
- Investigate suspicious account activity and document findings, actions taken, and outcomes
- Manage and respond to incoming requests and emails from internal support teams and external customers
- Handle inbound and outbound calls with internal departments and customers as needed
- Collect and prepare data in response to subpoenas issued to the company
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to mitigate fraud and security risks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve fraud prevention processes and controls
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in fraud analysis or fraud prevention (tax industry experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of fraud trends, detection methods, and remediation strategies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Proficiency in SQL
- Experience using Snowflake
- Experience building reports and dashboards in Sigma or Tableau
- Familiarity with the tax industry.
