About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- developing high-quality and accurate tax content and integrating the information into the TaxAct software
- research and implement fairly complex Federal and State tax laws into the tax software
- write or design “plain talk” interview questions to help users confidently complete their tax return
- write and review test case scenarios to ensure the tax calculations implemented are accurate
- partner closely with forms developers and IRS/State agencies to ensure timely certifications for forms and e-file
- interact respectively within the team
- help test other team members' work for accuracy
- mentor for newer tax analysts that join the team
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS/BA in Business Accounting or equivalent related experience
- 2+ years working in federal and state taxation, preferably in multiple tax categories: Individual, business, non-profit, estates and trusts, etc.
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- CPA or EA certification a plus
- Knowledge or experience working in an Agile/Scrum team environment a plus
