About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • developing high-quality and accurate tax content and integrating the information into the TaxAct software
  • research and implement fairly complex Federal and State tax laws into the tax software
  • write or design “plain talk” interview questions to help users confidently complete their tax return
  • write and review test case scenarios to ensure the tax calculations implemented are accurate
  • partner closely with forms developers and IRS/State agencies to ensure timely certifications for forms and e-file
  • interact respectively within the team
  • help test other team members' work for accuracy
  • mentor for newer tax analysts that join the team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS/BA in Business Accounting or equivalent related experience
  • 2+ years working in federal and state taxation, preferably in multiple tax categories: Individual, business, non-profit, estates and trusts, etc.
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • CPA or EA certification a plus
  • Knowledge or experience working in an Agile/Scrum team environment a plus
