About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Negotiate rates with worldwide agents, carriers, and shipping lines.
  • Prepare quotations and follow up with customers to meet shipping requirements and optimize costs.
  • Secure vessel space and manage shipment bookings.
  • Coordinate with agents, shipping lines, trucking providers, and customs clearance teams.
  • Track shipments from loading to final delivery and provide regular status updates.
  • Prepare, review, and manage shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BLs), invoices, and shipment records.
  • Monitor shipment arrivals and communicate arrival notices to customers.
  • Maintain strong relationships with carriers, suppliers, and customers.
  • Prepare daily and weekly operational reports.
  • Verify carrier invoices and coordinate payment requests with the finance department.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in Freight Forwarding, Logistics, or Shipping Lines (is a must)
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs clearance, and trade compliance.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Strong skills in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
