About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Performs assignments that require application of engineering education, training or experience and special knowledge or judgment of the mathematical, physical, or engineering sciences
- Prepares basic to advanced specifications detailing performance requirements, specific components, design requirements, applicable design codes, and vendor drawing requirements
- Prepares technical specifications for review and approval
- Assists in the development of instrumentation design calculations and packages
- Visits vendor facilities to inspect equipment for compliance with requirements
- Visits jobsites to evaluate site, project requirements, and conditions
- Prepares inquiry and purchase requisitions
- Prepares bid tabulations on simple purchases
- Reviews vendor drawings
- Develops a focus on least cost, safe design
- Supervises design personnel
- Actively involved in maintaining the schedule and budget of assigned projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5-10 years of experience related to instrumentation and control systems
- Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred
- Professional Engineering license is preferred
- BS in Engineering (or higher) from ABET accredited Institution
