About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Performs assignments that require application of engineering education, training or experience and special knowledge or judgment of the mathematical, physical, or engineering sciences
Prepares basic to advanced specifications detailing performance requirements, specific components, design requirements, applicable design codes, and vendor drawing requirements
Prepares technical specifications for review and approval
Assists in the development of instrumentation design calculations and packages
Visits vendor facilities to inspect equipment for compliance with requirements
Visits jobsites to evaluate site, project requirements, and conditions
Prepares inquiry and purchase requisitions
Prepares bid tabulations on simple purchases
Reviews vendor drawings
Develops a focus on least cost, safe design
Supervises design personnel
Actively involved in maintaining the schedule and budget of assigned projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

5-10 years of experience related to instrumentation and control systems
Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred
Professional Engineering license is preferred
BS in Engineering (or higher) from ABET accredited Institution
