About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Improve refinery safety, operations, and profitability through design, implementation and maintenance of control systems and supervisory control systems.
Manage and coordinate control related projects including specification, purchase and maintenance of systems.
Design controls or approve contractor's design and coordinate with instrumentation engineers and operators.
Manage projects to control budget and schedule, specifies instrumentation and selects vendors for solutions.
Develop plans for future control work based on economics and necessity, staying abreast of technology to effectively plan for upgrades.

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of control systems or process engineering in petroleum refinery or related industry preferred.
Knowledge of DCS, PLCs/SISs, HMIs, Microsoft Operating Systems, and/or computer network architecture.
Knowledge of field instrumentation and analyzers.
Experience with ISA regulatory guidelines.
Knowledge of Honeywell Experion, APACS, RTP, Triconex, and/or Allen Bradley PLCs is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Effective team skills and ability to work with all levels of the organization.
Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite.
Bachelor's degree in engineering required; chemical or electrical preferred.
