Business Development Manager – Oil, Gas, Chemicals, Downstream

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Proactively develops and maintains sustaining client relationships that foster business opportunities
- Develops sales and execution plans in line with client and industry needs
- Creates persuasive presentations to secure new business
- Delivers results at or above the sales forecast with a focus on profitability
- Works with other Business Development Executives to cross-sell
- Demonstrates knowledge of services to clients and assists them in selections
- Acts as the primary contact for requests for proposal and information
- Coordinates sales efforts with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics, and technical services
- Participates in risk assessments for projects
- Maintains sales forecasts and opportunity tracking systems
- Researches for potential new clients and business opportunities
- Identifies additional growth areas for the industry
- Keeps abreast of technical services, market conditions, and promotional trends
- Manages proposals by attending pre-bids and organizing proposal teams
- Executes strategies to meet company growth goals
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in developing and closing engineering deals with values ranging from $500K to $20M+
- Current established professional network in the region within Oil, Gas, Chemicals, Downstream and Refining sectors
- Proven track record of generating own sales opportunities
- Effective communicator (verbally and in writing) with the ability to influence others
- Familiarity with contract negotiation and working with a legal team
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced atmosphere
- A two-year degree minimum, a four-year degree preferred, in a related field with 10+ years of experience in B2C business development in Oil, Gas, Chemicals, Downstream and Refining industries.
