About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Proactively develops and maintains sustaining client relationships that foster business opportunities
  • Develops sales and execution plans in line with client and industry needs
  • Creates persuasive presentations to secure new business
  • Delivers results at or above the sales forecast with a focus on profitability
  • Works with other Business Development Executives to cross-sell
  • Demonstrates knowledge of services to clients and assists them in selections
  • Acts as the primary contact for requests for proposal and information
  • Coordinates sales efforts with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics, and technical services
  • Participates in risk assessments for projects
  • Maintains sales forecasts and opportunity tracking systems
  • Researches for potential new clients and business opportunities
  • Identifies additional growth areas for the industry
  • Keeps abreast of technical services, market conditions, and promotional trends
  • Manages proposals by attending pre-bids and organizing proposal teams
  • Executes strategies to meet company growth goals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in developing and closing engineering deals with values ranging from $500K to $20M+
  • Current established professional network in the region within Oil, Gas, Chemicals, Downstream and Refining sectors
  • Proven track record of generating own sales opportunities
  • Effective communicator (verbally and in writing) with the ability to influence others
  • Familiarity with contract negotiation and working with a legal team
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced atmosphere
  • A two-year degree minimum, a four-year degree preferred, in a related field with 10+ years of experience in B2C business development in Oil, Gas, Chemicals, Downstream and Refining industries.
