Key responsibilities & impact

Perform job duties as a Computer Systems Architect specializing in Storage and Backup Solutions
Responsible for installing, configuring, managing and maintaining storage and backup systems to ensure data integrity, availability, and security
Storage and backup solutions are in multiple lab environments operating in support of the IBCS Product Line in Huntsville, Alabama
Work closely with Infrastructure teammates to support and enhance infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices
Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies
Develops and recommends corrective actions
Manage and maintain storage and backup systems, including SAN, NAS, and cloud storage solutions
Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability
Perform regular data backups and recovery operations
Implement and maintain disaster recovery plans
Troubleshoot and resolve storage and backup-related issues
Collaborate with other IT team members to support overall infrastructure
Ensure compliance with data protection and security policies
Document system configurations, procedures, and policies
Conduct regular patching and upgrade cycles

Requirements

What you’ll need

8 Years with Bachelor of Science; 6 Years with Masters; 3 Years with PhD; or 12 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Current DoD Secret Security Clearance
Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (i.e., Security+, CISSP, etc.)
Proficiency with storage technologies such as SAN, NAS, and cloud storage
Experience with backup software and tools (e.gI c., Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup)
Strong understanding of data protection and disaster recovery principles
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and documentation skills
