About the role

Senior Backend Developer focusing on WordPress or Drupal backend development and integrations
Implement custom plugins, themes (WordPress) or custom modules (Drupal)
Develop headless/decoupled architectures and RESTful APIs
Ensure web security best practices and implement security measures
Optimize hosting environments, perform server administration and performance tuning
Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies and ticketing tools (JIRA)
Debug complex issues and provide technical problem-solving
Work primarily remote with occasional onsite presence at least once per month; 8-hour shift starting between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM

Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering or related fields
5 years minimum experience in backend development with a focus on WordPress or Drupal
Strong knowledge of PHP and SQL
Experience with headless integration, including decoupled architecture and RESTful APIs
Knowledge and experience working with WPEngine and/or Pantheon
Ability to implement custom plugins and themes in WordPress or custom modules in Drupal
Understanding of web security best practices and the ability to implement security measures for websites
Familiarity with modern front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
Knowledge of version control systems (Git)
Good understanding of hosting environments, server administration, and optimization techniques
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues
Experience with Agile software development methodologies and project management tools
Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work with cross-functional teams
Experience in JIRA or at least other ticket tracking tools
Must have a fast and stable internet connection
