Analyze client AP/AR data to identify supplier acceptance gaps and partner with acquirers to enable acceptance.
Facilitate the onboarding of suppliers and merchants onto the Mastercard network, ensuring alignment with client needs and payment solutions.
Collaborate with Corporate Sales, Product, Account Management, and D&S teams to formulate and execute strategic plans for supplier enablement.
Lead cross-functional teams in the delivery of supplier enablement projects, managing timelines, deliverables, and ensuring quality of outcomes.
Drive sales efforts to increase transaction volume from enabled suppliers and manage sales pipelines.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients, serving as a trusted advisor.
Act as subject matter expert on the supplier and buyer payment ecosystem and provide strategic guidance to Mastercard's Canada leadership.
Be client facing when required and provide ongoing support and oversight to ensure projects meet client expectations.
Requirements
Undergraduate degree required; MBA or relevant post-graduate degree preferred.
Client facing experience and ability to broker deals at financial institution, or payments-related roles, exposure to Treasury solutions directly or indirectly
Strong business development and commercial sales experience, especially in the Supplier-Buyer payment ecosystem.
Expertise in managing cross-functional projects and teams, driving initiatives from concept to execution.
Strong relationship management skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders
Deep understanding of commercial payments products (e.g., Virtual Payments, Account-to-Account payments, Commercial Cards) and ability to explain complex technology solutions.
Financial services, payments, acquirers or retail/merchant industry experience is highly desirable.
Data analytics or technology sales experience is a plus.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in English; bilingual with French skills are preferred
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities.
Ability to cold-call or do in-person supplier visits if needed
Analytical with an ability to simplify and present complex data
