About the role
- Own and manage Mastercard’s corporate travel program for the Americas region, including air, hotel, ground transportation, and rail.
- Enforce travel policy and procedures
- Manage relationship with travel management company, booking tool, airlines, hotels, and other suppliers
- Manage airline loyalty upgrades
- Negotiate contracts and preferred supplier agreements to maximize savings and value
- Monitor travel spend, analyze data, and report on trends, savings, and compliance including unused tickets
- Integrate reporting into the overall travel data (DecisionSource, PredictX, etc.)
- Ensure duty of care and traveler safety, including risk management and emergency response protocols (Crisis Management)
- Partner with business teams to align travel strategy with business goals including Sustainability
- Stay current and communicate industry trends, technology, and best practices
- Conduct Admin Roundtables to gather feedback for improvement as well as provide travel updates
- Manage and lead end-to-end projects including strategy development, planning, cross-functional collaboration, and delivery, ensuring objectives are achieved on time and within scope.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience managing corporate travel programs
- Strong knowledge of travel management systems, booking tools, and expense platforms
- Proven experience negotiating supplier contracts and managing budgets
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
